Mentoring young entrepreneurs – Why?
The mentoring initiative is designed to identify 4 talented young entrepreneurs and to help them start their own business. It brings to young entrepreneurs the Bader expertise in entrepreneurship and in company development. Bader members will help four selected "entrepreneurs-to-be" start their business. They will share lessons from their experience, offer access to a large network of decision-makers and potential customers, and will provide professional and moral support in order to help them start an activity.
How to be selected
In order to select four young entrepreneurs, Bader is launching a contest inviting entrepreneurs to send their ideas and business plans in four economic sectors. The Bader mentors will select one project each quarter. They will then work closely with the selected project owners until they manage to launch their activity.
This initiative will cover the following four sectors in 2007: fashion, technology, agro-food, and design.
Are you ready?
Submitting Applications
All applications must be submitted on line. The application contains questions that summarize the business idea. Applicants are advised to think thoroughly about their business project and to do their market research. Only applications that are duly filled and submitted before the indicated deadlines will be considered for revision.
Evaluation process
Every application is reviewed by a panel of members from Bader who might invite candidates for an interview to further inquire about their project. The panel will select the best 4 teams, only one team in each sector, based on criteria shared by all members.
Eligibility
The contest is open to young Lebanese between the age of 25 and 40 and who have a project in mind and wish o implement it in Lebanon. Bader recommends that you apply as a team of two to three individuals.
Awards
Winning projects will be announced on Bader’s and mentor’s website, as well as in the media. Winning teams will benefit from the coaching and support of mentors to get their business start. They will be introduced to potential support and funding institutions such as Berytech, Kafalat, IDAL, or the Economic and Social Fund for Development (ESFD). Winners will also be invited to participate in Bader’s events.
